It has been some time, but Bruce Van Note of the Maine Turnpike Authority has been working on the concerns expressed at his meeting with Forest Lake Association members and other area neighbors at the site of the Forest Lake Road Emergency Vehicle Ramp (EVR) across from Cottage Road.
Pursuant to his commitment at that meeting, Mr. Van note sent along a re-vegetation/landscaping plan that MTA is asking their contractor to add to their scope of work. The plan represents a substantial effort to help screen the view of the Emergency Vehicle Access Ramp and Turnpike. The planned location of the gate should also minimize unauthorized use.
