Forest Lake Association Trustee Meeting Minutes
April 15, 2025

Welcome – Jan
Jan called the meeting to order at 6:33 PM. .
In attendance: Ted, Heidi, Jan, Janene, Paula, Cathy, Greg and Hilarie
Secretary Report – Paula
Paula reviewed the February 25th meeting minutes. Ted made a motion to accept the minutes as read; Janene seconded the motion. All voted in favor.
Treasurer Report – Ted
The following is the treasurer’s report that Ted shared:

Committee Reports
Old Business:
Water Quality: Paula and Janene
- Janene reported that both she and Paula will continue to do the water quality testing. Greg also recently got certified and will help, too. Ted will continue to support the effort with his boat and navigation. Janene is getting the Dissolved Oxygen reader maintained, which is an annual task.
- The Annual Lake Conference is being held June 13th. Cathy will be attending this year. The FLA will be making a donation to the silent auction again this year.
- The LakeSmart program training will be held on May 8th via It will be posted on our social media.
Plant Patrolling: Connor and Janene
- We will need a final report for 2024 from Connor on the results of the plant patrolling. He was unable to attend tonight’s meeting. Paula volunteered to contact him.
Town of Gray’s Climate Resiliency Committee: Ted
- Ted represents Forest Lake on this committee. We’re involved in a subcommittee. Ted was unable to attend the last meeting but there are two more meetings coming up. They will be focusing on phosphorus.
Continue by-laws discussion:
- By-laws were discussed line-by-line with suggested modifications to update and streamline them. Ted compiled these and shared them through email in order to be published in the newsletter.
Annual Meeting Planning: Hilarie
- The date has been set for July 19th. Our guest speaker will be Jennifer Rey Pictoe. Heidi has generously offered her guest house to her for the night before the meeting.
- We need to confirm the annual meeting location, as the recreational center is not available. Ted volunteered to contact Pat Larabee to see if the church hall is available.
- Raffle items will be talked about at the June 10th meeting.
New Business:
Newsletter Committee
- Heidi reported that the newsletter is coming together. Articles will include, but not limited to, an interview with a member of the Lakeside Drive association, a history article on the seaplanes and runways of the lake, an update on by-laws modifications, caution regarding using fertilizer, extending the local trail heads, and a puzzle.

- Ted reviewed the nominations for the next calendar year. They are as follows:
